The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire College of Business has always been progressive. The Cargill Collaboration Center is no exception. Our design team was given the challenge of incorporating state-of-the-art technology in a collaborative learning environment. DetailsThis space needed to be designed for a modern instructional approach. Professors and students can project to any or all of the screens and monitors in the room. Gentle curves in the ceiling and on the floor as well as bright colors add interest to this long room. By breaking up the space with color and furniture, smaller groups working on projects need not feel lost in a vacuous space. Mobile tables and castored chairs can be moved around to create work areas as varied as their users. A breakout room for smaller groups to meet has been constructed using walls that can be reconfigured as technology changes. NOW THAT IS GREAT DESIGN! |
